Proof that ALL things were better in 78

--------------------------------------------------------------

Victory for City would set a new record for highest number of points in a single top-flight season in England (97, currently 95 by Chelsea in 2004-05).

If you converted the old two points for a win system to three (ask your grandma), only Liverpool (98 in 1978-79) and Tottenham (97 in 1960-61) would have reached this many.

Pep the meanie - despite putting out a B team there are no places for JJs hero Foden or Diaz who both need more appearances to get a league winners medal

Boo Hiss what a meanie

That makes no sense not to play these guy, there isn't anything more to play for but records, that are only there to be broken. Play them see what you may have award the kids with a medal.

If your design is to sell them off, wouldn't it be better if they play and show off their talents?

one of the coaches has a word with Pep - finally foden and diaz come on and can get medals

wonder if pep had forgotten

Was busy with Mothers Day chores. Glad they got there medals. Pep probably did forgot, as he gets so wrapped up in winning.

Brilliant side, brilliant season. Made up they got to 100 points.

United fans will be green.

A remarkable season for Man City, some of the football they played was a superb. 100 points, i reckon will never be beat  for many years.

But still because of the money they spent it's still not good enough, Pep was brought in to win the Champions league.

I bet he'd swap the league and the league cup to win the Champions League. Long term he will be judged on that.

Next season he has to win the Champions league, or he will be gone.  ( and pardew brought in :D)

Well done Man City, best team..by a tatty field.

This league will be a bit more copmpetitive next season, this season it was over by October, should stretch to November next season, a complete nonsense that rhe difference between 1st and 2nd was 19 Points, and 1st and 4th was 25 points, probably the least competitive league in Europe right now.

City were on a different level this season, no doubt about it. If any team can be the first to retain the title since 2009, then this is it.

But let’s not forget that, at the moment, the PL has had a different winner every season since 2010.

Bayern Munich are going for a 7th consecutive league title in Germany, and Juventus have already now won 7 consecutive league titles...and won a fourth consecutive DOUBLE in Italy.

City have never won the double in their history.

this will make JJ happy - from the beeb

And on an individual note, Phil Foden became the youngest player to receive a Premier League winner's medal at 17 years 350 days, beating the record of Gael Clichy, who was 18 years 294 days when Arsenal's 'Invincibles' secured the 2003-04 title.
