Is it really a freebie?

Of course. It's Christmas. It will be a gift from Bruce to his fans that are already registered with Nugs.

He'll be sharing his wealth. He's good like that.

The River tour was my first show, Fall of 1980 in the dump that jumps. I was 12 years old and just purchased my first Van Halen records. My Mom had a fight with her boyfriend. So off I went with her.

Seriously, don't open the spoiler if you want to be surprised on Friday.

I'm sad.  Also, had a car crash today on my way home... slid down an icy road, straight into the back of a parked car.  So all round not very pleasing day.

Really can't be arsed for Winterland #1 right now. I played it to death in 2015.

PERSONAL OPINION ALERT!

The Winterland radio broadcast would hardly count as a special Christmas release worth waiting for, it would merely be an upgrade in what has been available in good quality for 40 years.

I'm not suggesting that that upgrade shouldn't happen at some point, just saying that it hardly classes as special.

When the boss is away you can finally really work hard and fast and good and do a lot of things (work-related things).

No meetings and mails from the boss to all employees and other counter-productieve nonsense.

We didn't miss her grumpyness.

Ahh...now that's the ticket. Listening to 12/16 right now... incredible quality, fantastic performance. Of course the selfish me would also like the 12/19/78 show from Portland Oregon, since I was there... but happy to settle for these riches.

Now THAT would be fantastic, the show on the 19th is amazing, and it still has the best Because The Night and Santa story I've heard.

With some hesitation...  But could an official release of Portland not lose something of the atmosfeer of the audience tape?

This said, Portland and Seattle of course deserve a wider audience.

Would love The Paramount Night show.  Not fussed about Seattle but the Crystal Cat boot from 19/12 was a personal favourite.  Best She’s the One ever and another great Streets of Fire among many highlights.

I also saw Bruce in the Summer of '78 in Portland Ore. (my first Bruce live experience)... I think it was a $2.00 show (!). Little did I know, 41 years later I'd still be reliving the excitement of that year. I hope the Nugs series goes on for another ten years. And if they wanted to release a spruced up audience tape of 12/19/78, I'd be first in line. (Didn't the Sirius channel play audience shows back in the day? Can't recall if 12/19 appeared there tho.)

So is there any chance of a Christmas release on Tuesday?

No both Winterland shows are the December and Christmas release at once
