Maybe for July, might be a bit too late in the month to account for that.

Unless we get a reunion show from the MSG stand for example

The River tour was my first show, Fall of 1980 in the dump that jumps. I was 12 years old and just purchased my first Van Halen records. My Mom had a fight with her boyfriend. So off I went with her.

Seriously, don't open the spoiler if you want to be surprised on Friday.

I'm sad.  Also, had a car crash today on my way home... slid down an icy road, straight into the back of a parked car.  So all round not very pleasing day.

First times shown are GMT, Apollo and Agora are the same thread, Agora release page linked.

What are we wanting/expecting on Friday then?

Even though the Archive Series doesn't always fit social matters, and a lot of us interperate releases and songs to fit the mood, a week or so ago I was thinking Seeger would be great as we needed some determination to get through the Corona struggles.
As everything appeared to be on it's way back to normality (And because it's sunny as out) though I started anticipating a BITUSA show. Even if it's too soon for another biggie after NJ '81, something with a summer atmosphere would be sound.

Now it feels like something joyous would end up being looked at inappropriate - though it could obviously also be viewed as the opposite - and we're back wanting something from 2006, 2007-08, or if possible 2002-03 to remind us that the world can overcome and that we're capable of getting our shit together, together

Hell, even if we get something from 2005, maybe it's time for this song to make its Archive Series debut

I would expect them to release whatever they were originally intending to release last month before they decided they needed a New Jersey show.

That narrows it down to every non New Jersey show ever recorded, but not yet released. (I won't provide a list :P)

I have ben pondering this as well...

I still predict, the proceeds will go to the Jersey Pandemic fund. So, given that I predict a big one from '84/85 or '75. It will create a buzz and cause many more people to purchase. There will be articles in Rolling Stone talking about the show and that it benefits the relief eforts for the pandemic.

I could be wrong. I'd love another '07/08 show. I played Boston '07 the other day and was thrilled by it. Would also love a '05 show as well...but assume that it wont get many downloads.

Either way, I look forward to this as much as anything.

I'm thinking 2005, although an angry 2007 show might be as appropriate for the times as anything if they were to attempt to drop something to echo the zeitgeist.

On that, what show was it in 2000 that featured the premiere of American Skin? If that was recorded, maybe they'll consider getting that mixed and mastered quickly for release this month

June 4, 2000.  I was there.  Our next archive will be on this show’s 20 year and 1 day anniversary.

The 2012 show with American skin dedicated to travon Martin is a possibility.

The 2012 American Skin show would probably be more realistic due to the lessened amount of work needed for a WB release as opposed to a Reunion release.

It was Atlanta I think.

Similarly to Brucefaninnyc's shout for Limerick 2013 though, it might be a bit soon for the next 1999/00 release.

I think we should expect 2005 or 2007.

That, sadly, in and of itself makes a statement about where the US is at...

That’s outrageously poor given they don’t exactly rush to send them out.

I honestly had a feeling July 9, 1981 would be released after Bruce and Patti surprised me with that acoustic Jersey Girl. I figured, "Hey, they recorded the whole 1981 show where Jersey Girl came from, so why not?"

Of course, we all try to look smart after the fact. So I'll get out in front of why this month will be Fenway (Sept. 7 2003):

Ties in nicely to Bruce joining the Dropkick Murphys there last week.

A Jersey boy joined a Fenway show to help local residents. So now he could use funds from selling a Fenway show and let Boston folks help a New Jersey-focused cause.

We haven't had a Rising show since 2018.

Why this month WON'T be Fenway (Sept. 7 2003):

Bruce just did the whole Fenway thing.

"Frankie" is a big draw from the setlist, but that song was featured as part of the recent Gothenburg release.

The Rising show problems.

Shame. They're usually quick to put things right without a fuss.

Just to be clear, I wasn't trying to imply you were pulling a fast one - sorry if that was the impression!

That said, they must have a ton of work on their hands if they're getting mixed up like that. On the bright side though, at least you can listen to "Song For Orphans" from Trenton even more now ;)

I order CD's all the time from them and I have never had a problem like that so far.

They take weeks to arrive however.

OK, did my late morning runs and on ESR before the concert at 11:00am started a lot of DnD stuff. I'll predict something from that tour. Which I won't be interested in. But you all have fun with it.

I can bet we’ll get a tour we’ve seen before but from a particular leg of that we may have either — a. Not seen since during the broadway run or b. Never seen at all.

Thinking of eras up for release over the next few months.
Ones we’ve never seen

Born to Run: Beginning portion of tour. 1976.

Born in the USA: Early in the tour (Summer before New Jersey). Fall 1984. Lots of 1985

Other Band: Europe (1992 AND 1993). USA fall 1992 - after his birthday/MTV taping (late September to mid December)

Tom Joad: First leg (November 1995-January 1996). Latter part of Europe tour 1996. USA fall 1996 beginning (there was an extended rest before the freehold show). Entirety of 1997.

Reunion: Europe. USA Winter/Spring 2000

Rising: USA August 7-October 7, 2002. Europe October 2002 (aside from Barcelona DVD nearly seventeen years ago). USA November-December 2002 (Cincinnati had an important speech), February to March 2003, Australia 2003. North America April 2003 (mostly Canada + one night in Sacramento). North America stadiums summer 2003 b

Devils and Dust: first two (April-June 2005)

Seeger: Europe (May, October-November), USA May 27-June 25, 2006

Magic: None of the Europe shows from either venture (Nov/Dec ‘07 or May-July ‘08)

Working on a Dream (I know that was the February one) - Europe 2009. USA late summer before Giants Stadium.

Wrecking Ball (A most likely repeat of the calendar year this year): USA March-May after Apollo theater. USA arena tour October to December 2012. Australia 2013. South America.

Been some time

The Rising: We’ve just had the one plus the dvd from Barcelona which was during the short Europe leg in October 2002

Magic: USA 1 (one from that time - two years ago). Final USA leg (one from that one - three years ago). We’ve got one each from all three USA legs of the magic tour so I think October or November 2007 Or else July/August 2008.

Given how they’ve been alternating (February - newer, March - older, April - newer, May - older) My guesses for this week

Rising (November 2002 or September 2003)

Devils and Dust (May or October 2005)

Seeger Sessions (June 2006)

Magic (Late 2007 or Summer 2008)
