Looks like this might be the closest I'll get to seeing Pearl Jam, if I can get tickets.

Oh, I am 110% sure of that... But not sure I can handle a whole day in a big crowd in the hot sun for what might be a 30 or 60 minute set... I sound like an old fart saying that, but...

Now if he announced a few solo gigs at a smaller venue, holy crap...

Not at all.  One year ago today, this old fart went to an all-day Hyde Park festival.  It was hot and I only wanted to see Stevie Nicks and Tom Petty, so that's all I did.  I turned up at 6 pm, ready for Stevie's set, cool and sober  :D

Would love to meet up but it's not typo. I'm back home that week and going to the Glasgow show.

Saw Paul Simon in Glasgow last night. fantastic show (2 hours 25) and setlist spanning his entire career. Sound was superb and with a large amount of musicians on stage Paul's vocals were crystal clear. Loved it all!

What are you talking about my friend? You ride your bike up a mountain for 2-3 hours at a time. :P You're in better shape than 85% of us.

Probably not as depressed as the Stones fans wandering around Twickenham and environs last night.  (Yes, I was one of them)

I'll just leave this here

At least we'd had a fantastic show - sorry you missed yours.

SouthWestern Rail have refunded my train fare  :)  Don't ask, don't get.

Anyone on here use ear-plugs for (loud) gigs? Recommendations?

Had a bit of a scare after Steve Earle, obvious ringing for two or 3 days. I know I have some loss, and mild tinnitus in my RH side, but thinking I maybe need to take more care of what I've got.

I do for loud gigs. These are pretty good. Filters sound but it's still clear.

Zac Brown Band in Cincinnati tomorrow night.

Don't know much about the band.  I'm going for the beer.

What did you think?  I like them quite a lot, but never have seen them...
