DubleAADank
While looking around on the internet, I found that our song had been mentioned on this forum thread. I thought that was pretty cool, and just wanted to clarify our allusion to Springsteen in the lyrics. The song that it's from, "Christmas in 'Hampton," is a sort of satirical song about our hometown. In it, there's a popular old-fashioned movie theater called the Roxy. There's a lot of history to the theater, and even many famous musicians had performed there decades ago. In 1974, Bruce Springsteen played a concert there to an audience of assumedly around 500 people. That's pretty much it, but I thought it'd be interesting to add "my side" of the story in :). Songs About Springsteen Jan 2018.xlsb A brand new one on the new Martyn Joseph album. A track called 'Driving Her Back To London' has the lines: "We've been swapping tunes on iPhones I play you Bruce you play me Muse" Anyone who's familiar with Martyn will know which Bruce he's referring to.

Well it seems as though this light will never turn green I've been driving for a while, can't tell where I've been I got nothing on my mind, I got nothing to do I'm just driving around listening to Nebraska Well, my girl, she told me last night I'm not the one Half my heart was ripped out but I still got some And if this light should stay red I'll be sitting here listening to Nebraska I was trying so hard to get to you Now I'm driving so far to forget you Well, tonight I should be lying with you in a never-ending night Well, tonight I should be lying in a never-ending kiss But I'm alone on this dark road listening to Nebraska

Ugh That is a brilliant song. "Some things hurt more, much more than cars and girls". Poignant and beautiful lyrics. Plus I do love the idea that there are Springsteen fans out who would get offended by the notion.

I reckon it is way more likely to be the album, but I guess I also read it as driving along the highway, window down 'listening' to the sights, sounds and smells of middle America.
