Hi, is this one that you need?

Bruce Springsteen

Key Arena, Seattle, WA
August 11th 2005

Uncirculated IEM Recording

CDR > EAC (Secure) > WAVE > FLAC (TLH, 6, Align)

Read notes below!

Disc 1

03 - Reason To Believe
04 - Devils & Dust
05 - Highway 29
06 - Long Time Coming
07 - Be True
08 - Frankie
09 - The River
10 - Intro
11 - Part Man Part Monkey
12 - Ain't Got You
13 - Highway Patrolman
14 - Reno
15 - Two For The Road
16 - Nothing Man
17 - Racing In The Street

Disc 2

01 - The Rising
02 - Darkness On The Edge Of Town
03 - Intro
04 - Jesus Was An Only Son
05 - Intro
06 - This Hard Land
07 - Intro
08 - The Hitter
09 - Matamoros Banks
10 - Growin' Up
11 - For You
12 - Intro
13 - The Promised Land
14 - Dream Baby Dream

Notes
Great uncirculated IEM recording of a great show, the North West US run has always been considered a highlight of the tour. Features one of my
favourite single performances of the entire tour in Highway 29, and a nice acoustic For You. Slightly better than the Portland IEM, to my ears.

Thanks to the taper, hope you don't mind too much.

sometimes it's the actual download that failed in that situation (especially since it's been downloaded 14 times) and doing the download again will solve it but give this one a go.

Like @simongar I had initial trouble extracting the files - standard, built in, windows winzip extraction didn't work.  Worked fine when I extracted with 7-zip though.  It's a great show.  Thank you, @gotgodonmyside

There's something free called ashampoo zip which works with everything but 7 zip is much better than all the winzip stuff.

Okay - here you go, @Outlaw Darin .  The 1981-08-05 Landover show is recorded on BB and this recording as being at Largo, but Landover/Largo all much of a muchness, I believe.

Good morning! Here's a "Sunday surprise" for your enjoyment.

Hrubesh used the wav files from my 1985-09-01 release and applied his skills to improve the sound. When I listened to his finished product I was really pleased with how good an audience recording of an outdoor stadium show (80,000 seats, plus the floor but minus the seats not sold behind the stage, so ~66k ticketed per wiki) could sound.

This show was on Sunday, delayed from Friday because of a severe storm. So it ended up being the last of the six stadium shows, and my last of 24 shows that tour. I had a lot of fun, and some great experiences over those 13 months, from the arena shows in August '84. on to LA and Tempe, and later to London and back to NJ! Also, I began my taping saga during the LA shows in November '84, and used those recordings to build my cassette bootleg collection, so that added to the experience.

Summer night, stadium in NJ, Labor Day weekend - bliss! This has the long Garden of Eden story in Pink Caddy, one of those 17 minute Twist & Shout experiences (that brought back some great memories), followed by Jersey Girl (and if you've never experienced JG at the finale of a stadium stand in the summer in NJ like this, or 2003 GS 10 ;), you've missed a fabulous moment), and one of the earliest Santas I can recall. I'm certain my personal memories help me enjoy this show a lot. As with all my recordings, my hope is that the sound that is shared allows you to at least come close to my experience. ETA: I think Hrubesh has made the sound better, really "come alive", so you the listener can almost be there.

Here's the link to Mega - 1985-09-01 East Rutherford, NJ (JimCT Master Tape - Hrubesh remaster)

https://mega.nz/folder/uJ83wYoD#vPFOYWlEQ-RwqDvXvwjT5Q

You can compare it to the original of mine, and the other versions for this date, previously uploaded by others. If you like it, please post your comments, so I can make sure Hrubesh knows that his time and effort was appreciated by others.

@Breakaway please pass this along to update the brucebase entry ;)

I've been away from here for over a week so I just got a chance to see this.

I'll send the above message to Brucebase.

Got it! windows winzip extraction didn't work for me either, so I used Expresszip instead and that worked. I've never seen where winzip didn't work. Thanks for the tip!!!

Freaky...  Has a post just been deleted??

Just about to post a response.....

It may have been me, I may have deleted it by accident (don't know if that's possible?)

Here is what I posted earlier.

After thinking about this a bit, I feel the need to offer a bit different viewpoint.

As a newer member here (early February) I know you will not hold my opinion very highly, but I have to say this type of response from a moderator to a poster that has been sharing her collection to pretty much anyone who asks, is harsh.  What I am reading into this is even though you freely share your collection, we do not need you here anymore. And more importantly, common decency does not really have a place here, so do not bother the share any shows, and don’t bother to thank anyone, just continue to leech off of the kindness of others.

I am certain that the thread and site will continue to exist without all the current sharers, but why would you take this stance?  I Would think that you would want more people here, not less.  To openly say take it or leave it to the people who actually do most of the sharing seems short-sided. (it is not just sunshine that shares here)

You mention “The spirit of generosity is about acting without concern for reward, a willingness to give and to share” I think that is absolutely the point here, a willingness to give and share.  It seems most are willing to take what is posted, but not share.

Somehow this turned into "newbies must share, and that is not the rule, so stop asking them to do it", this latest round seemed to be more around - "please take the time to share your collections, instead of just keep asking for more and more shows." Which seems reasonable to me.  By comparison, my collection is small compared to others, but I found a way to share about 50 shows over the past 2 months.

If this is the type of place you want, then great, but if you chase off the main sharers of the music then it will be a less active place.  Hopefully, others step up and finally share their collections since the main posters will stop sharing. (or probably have already stopped sharing)

Just my thoughts, carry on....

Of course you are entitled to your opinion, and I have never ignored someone's thoughts.

However, what was happening was a nearly constant drip of complaints from a few who wanted to create a policy for this board.  We won't make such a policy, if that spoils your joy of sharing (not enough gratitude from others) I totally understand.  If you don't wish to share, feel free not to - no one forces you to do anything.

If someone leaves over that, I can't help that they aren't getting the "honor" they feel they deserve.

One other thing to consider - not many have learned how to post uploads, so they are challenged by their lack of understanding of the process.  Yes, they could learn just like you and I did, but must they comply with someone else's demands to do so?   Others might just download a show or two they want, and never come back by this thread for many weeks, not everyone makes a daily effort to find a bootlegged recording they would like to have

Thanks for the reply, you seemed to have made this all about people leaving because they are not getting the recognition they deserve. The last request was more about people not sharing and only asking for more and more shows. The only way this thing works if everyone plays along and shares what they have. As it stands we have a list of probably 6 or so people who consistently provide 95% of the shows. Some people just request and not share and do that without any thoughts as to what it takes to share, almost like it is just expected that their shows will just show up - (I think) is what some are starting to take exception to. I came here to build my collection and soon found out the level of shows that are being shared here by these posters both in quantity and more importantly quality is not matched anywhere else. Now I strongly fear that the moderators have chased off the people with the quality to share that I am looking for. I sure hope I am wrong, but I fear I am not.

Ok, I don't want to stir it if the mods have made a decision on what folks here can post, share or think but my take on the current situation is this.

I don't understand the stance taken and comments made by the mod in the thread. Maybe it's in relation to private comments. So apologies for my ignorance. Maybe someone could enlighten me?

But dialogue and understanding is surely better than saying 'leave'.

Anyway, I've rambled too much, forgot what I was saying :D, gonna go lie down now and rest....lol!!

Well, it's a fair point - some of my comments are addressing private messages from posters, asking for the negativity in this thread to be tamped down.  Several posts that were deleted were full of demands/instructions and threats to "take my ball and go home" and other attitudes that don't reflect well on our community here.

So perhaps I am addressing some issues that many haven't seen.

I understand the frustration about generosity and gratitude (or lack of it) and I had an 8:1 share ratio at Jungleland, remember ABMS and the newsgroups and mailed 1000's of CD's to people for blanks and postage costs.  And yes, there were many times where I wondered why the simple "Thank you" email was never received.

Interestingly (or not) I haven't been to JL in a couple of years, simply because I got tired of the drama you mention.

That's the drama we want to avoid here........simply that - no more less

Another interesting twist to this topic - some of the one's that complain they aren't receiving enough love, are also being unkind to the Mod team with some very ugly PM's and personal comments, even when they have no idea of the facts.  A little gratitude to the people who keep this website running (see BTX) on their part might go a long way......but instead they want to complain about how we have chosen to keep this website running, for now over 20 years.  They demand respect but offer none to the people who make this place possible
