Thanks for this, is there another source in circulation as well? I used to have a cassette tape of this show (my second ever show) and it was a different version. The tape on this one seems to run a bit faster than the tape I used to have I seem to remember (which I lost a few years ago).

I believe that the 1980-12-18 Ghost Radio set is a copy of Kiss Me Its Christmas.    The JEMS release of that night is a different and better recorder and much better quality overall.   That one, and the JEMS from the following night are two of the best 1980 audience recordings.   Let me know if you would like them and I will upload.

There are more versions in circulation according to Brucebase. Unfortunately, I only have this version....maybe someone can help with the others

Thanks will listen to this one tonight. It’s labelled 22nd night 2 but file heading says 21st night 1

Here's a couple more from the 21st.   Ther is also an Ivan transfer that is supposed to be excellent quality but I don't have that one unfortunately

* The "VG Tape" defintely seems to match my copy of the 22nd so I think the folder title rather than the link date is correct...I did a very quick listen to the different intros on twist and shout and also the setlist is a match for 06-22

1988-06-21 Birmingham England (Bosstrade Tape Transfer)

1988-06-21 Villa Park, Birmingham, ENG (Recorder #2 - mjk5510)

Here's a quote below from the info file that makes me think this is one worth hunting for but none of my close contacts have iteither and I don't see it on JL or dime, etc. I think the experts do not check in here much anymore ... rather unfortunate

"Originally I was not going to convert this tape. There is an exisiting silver by Mainstream named Express to England. There was also a tape done by KM recently(thanks)of the same show. When I was converting the June 25 tape I accidentally copied the wrong side of the tape which was the last 4 songs from this show. Upon comparing to KM's tape it sounded much clearer to me. I think it is the same tape but a lower generation. Also, to my ears, the existing Mainstream boot to me sounds distant and maybe a tad slow, so I decided to do the rest of the tapes for this show. I think this one blows them both out of the water! Compare for yourself, you'll agree. Enjoy, Ivan."

Fascinating. I love this forum. Someone here will have it I’m sure!
