I just read that Al Kooper (him who plays the organ on Like A Rolling Stone) played piano, organ AND the French horn on You Can't Always Get What You Want! I never knew that!

Kirsty Macoll's dad wrote The First Time Ever I Saw Your Face.

I believe he fell asleep in Elvis Cistellos first performance ( as a folkie, not as Elvis)

Jon Landau was the Producer for Jackson Browne's album The Pretender.

Why was this news to me? How many times have I held that album cover in my hands and not paid any attention to that?

Just noticed this a few minutes ago.

The phrase "I would do anything for love, but I won't do that" is a lyric from Getting So Excited, a song on Bonnie Tyler's 1983 album Faster Than The Speed Of Night. Jim Steinman produced the album and wrote two of the tracks, but not Getting So Excited. He did, of course, write a song called I'd Do Anything For Love (But I Won't Do That) ten years later for Meat Loaf.

In today's dollars, Steven Tyler should be locked up and put away.  However, back in the day when he was a 27 year old rocker, he began dating a 16 year old girl he met at one of his shows.  He eventually took guardianship of her so that he could travel across state lines with her.  He then knocked her up and finally pressured her to abort the fetus in the fifth month.  Awful.

Maybe not as whacked as the R. Kelly story, but this is a wild one.....
