janeymarywendy
Saw Rufus Wainwright at the wonderful Royal Albert Hall last night. What a voice! He's as camp as a row of tents (thanks for that, @Rizla ) and I didn't really like the feather boa etc, but I could have listened to him and his fantastic band forever. Great rendition of Joni M's Both Sides Now and he sang all of his first 2 albums. There were a few songs he didn't sing, which I was hoping to hear, but c'est la vie. Not everyone's cuppa, I know, but I loved it. £7 for a regular white wine in a plastic glass. SEVEN POUNDS. Yeah, I know, I know ...
Sal's Grocery
Went to see Dropkick Murphys last night in Birmingham, England. Fantastic show as always and they dedicated ‘Rose Tattoo’ to my late father, who passed away in January IMG_5318.MOV

I've lost count of the number of times I've seen him... my guess would be between 15 and 20. First time I saw him was on the Hello Starling tour back in 2004.

Troublette
Melissa Etheridge July 26 Missoula (The Wilma) Jackson Browne August 2 Missoula (Big Sky Brewery) Lydia Loveless and The Mountain Goats August 31 Missoula (The Top Hat) These always mean dinner and a hotel. Shakey Graves and Lord Huron will also be in Missoula in between the Etheridge and Browne shows but I saw him last August and with hotels these shows get expensive so as good as Shakey is I'll wait for the next round.
