That site is interesting because it allows you to browse the new releases for virtually every country where Netflix is available. Once you navigate to a country page, you can browse by date or use the search bar to find out if a specific show is on in that country.

I noticed a show you would probably enjoy, Daisey. A docu-series called The Royal House of Windsor. According to the site above, it's available in NZ.

thanks JF

I'll also email it to the OH

that's actually the 2nd thing i watched on netflex after SOB

(i think they saw me comming)

the earlier eposides are particularly insightful- i enjoyed seeing footage of the Queen's grandparents and their late Majesties - her mum and dad (im pretty sure that's not what she called them )

i feel quite touched you thought of me :)

we have been watching Norsemen

its fucking funny

a very similar humour to Lillyhamer

http://Seen "Norsemen" on Netflix yet? https://www.netflix.com/title/80180182?s=a&trkid=13747225&t=cp

but it almost reminded me of black adder too

not sure if its a take off from Vikings?

https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Norsemen_(TV_series)

only 2 series so far - 12 episodes

but another series in the pipe line

i think i have a Norwegian funny bone

It's probably an ad to get you to sign up with a VPN. Read everything before you sign up and see if there's a free trial first to make sure it even works for you. It will almost certainly require you to install some software.

since daisey has a Nordic thing going on how about The Rain - its from Denmark (home of Queen Peggy and King Karsten) the characters are well written

and the story moves along quite well - so far 2 series total of 14 episodes....

ill recomend it to Gary

i don't think id like it - too apocalyptic

too many people we know are from  Scandanavia

but what i love about Netflex is all the foreign content

alot of stuff we'd just never see on TV here ...well except for the foreign.movies the Maori channel screen but i only know one other person who watches that channel on a regular basis

high seas

its Spanish but its ok its in English

its like modern Agitha Christy exceot its set in the 40s after the war on a beautiful cruise ship on a voyage to Rio

Gary is watching it and im getting hooked

its really really good

riviting in a terribly civilised way

https://decider.com/2019/05/24/high-seas-alta-mar-on-netflix-cast-trailer/

it feels a bit upstairs downstairs but not quirky like midsummer murders

this is a much worse voyage than the titanic!

im.sure by the end almost the same amount of people will die the way its going

but its excellent drama

i think its great Netflex put money into producing in foreign  markets and then show it all over the world

this was really good

much more entertaining than the Mrs Brown one

Judi Dench was awsome as a very old Victoria

OMG the prince of wales was written really funny

(our Peince Charles has a much eaiser life)

not such a good end (the Queen was very old) and the new king was a tad unkind but not unexpectedly  toward the munshi and his family

I watched one episode but the voice dubbing was bothering me on this.

New series of Black Mirror is pretty good.

I started to watch the first season of this and hated it so I've been hesitant to try it again.  Maybe I'll check it out though.

@Jerseyfornia have you seen any of the Jon Favreau series The Chef Show on Netflix? Love to hear your thoughts on it. Watched a couple of episodes and really enjoying it.

After season 1 I felt like it all went downhill. I did watch the second one but just had no interest in finishing the third.

The first season, however, is really, really good. Brilliant acting and a Southern Gothic vibe throughout with the, as you correctly put it, glorious backdrop of the Florida Keys. Sometimes, though, there’s only one season’s worth of a good story and I felt that was the case here.

Fully agree, I thought season 1 was excellent, season 2 disappointing by comparison and season 3 was dreadful, really tedious. You missed absolutely nothing.
