I'm sure that when this film came out quite a few years ago, it got good reviews? I thought it was pretty bad :( The acting was awful.  Jodie Foster is better than that, usually.

My opinion - the two other films up there ^^^ were much better, and probably cost half as much to make.

Oh

Has it not aged well

I remember it being particularly scary

The wee girl is Bella from Twilight

Ive been watching this

Its Korean

Heaven's gate

Its about a mum with 2 girls (the oldest of whome isnt her's) who's husband goes to jail and she has tp go live with her estranged dad in a wee country village a bus ride from Soul

I have no idea if the acting is any good but the kids are all soooooo cute and its kind of wholesome and gentle and good to unwind with before bed - well except i have to read the subtitles

The scenery is beautiful

I have watched a couple of Korean things

Now my recommendations are all Korean:lol:

However i highly recomend Move to heaven

Its not religious

Its about a young man with aspergers

His dad runs a small company that does trauma cleaning after a death

Its not gory but there is cage fighting

Anyway Dad dies and an estranged uncle fresh out of the can is assigned to be his guardian and help run the company

The episodes are about 40 odd minutes long and its subtitled with 10 episodes in total obviously made before covid dominated the planet

High on the hog

https://www.netflix.com/title/81034518?s=a&trkid=13747225&t=cp

The story of black American cuisine and how it has influenced American cuisine generally

It starts off a bit slow but i shant grumble because the host goes back to West Africa and the slave trade

I found the episodes on the black enslaved chiefs of Thomas Jefferson  and George Washington particularly interesting

So much so i made James Hemings mac & cheese tonight

@Jimmy James i have watched and enjoyed quite a few baseball and American football movies over the years (feild of dreams still my favourite)

If you ever see this it is brilliant

Kerry Paker is the father of the one day game - called pijamma cricket back in the day because of the coloured uniforms

This all happened when i was only knee high to a grasshopper so i don't remember cricket before the one day era but i have seen at least 1/2 of the players characterized in this movie actually play either on tv or at the ground

See the one day era opened up the game to families including the mothers

It was one time change was good !

There isnt a lot of play so you won't get bored

Korean serials are my wife's latest addiction if I can use that word. In a way its better than watching all the cooking shows which you know is of no use to you as she is a vegetarian and no meat is allowed at home. She is real busy most of the time so I do get most of the telly time these days.

The Korean shows are a wonderdul escape from real life

She is now the only other person i know of who watches them

We need escapism in the world tight now so i hope she can find the time to catch up on her favourites

I watched Logan's run the movie

While i vividly recall the tv series i was way too young to have seen the movie (the tv series screened at 7.30pm) - it was my favourite show along with the 6 million dollar man

But ive never seen a single rerun

I had a big poster on my bedroom wall

Anyway the movie  was just bad

And too long - i watched it over two nights

Bad bad bad

Initially it was refreshing to see coloured clothes in the future and not just grey

The special effects and the sets had dated so baddly

Although i just read it had a huge budget

But holy cow ! jessica was Sister Julieann from call the midwife

oh i used to love the 6 million dollar man

i had a bioonic woman barbie doll (she wasn't a Barbie and didn't fit Barbie's clothes like the Marie Osmond doll did)

anyway i saw on TVNZ on demand the bionic woman has been remade but i think i would be disappointed
