I wonder what the record for most wins by the visiting teams in a world Series is.  So far the visitors have won every game.

I think it was in '87, Cardinals won their first two at home, then lost three straight in Minnesota.  Came home, and the Cards won the next two to wrap it up.

Nope, the Cards lost that series. Game 6 was on my wedding day. It was hard to keep everyone focus on the days events!:o Which the Cards lost on a Kurt Hrbeck homer off the best lefthander out of the bull pen for the Cards Ken Daley. Game 7 had another odd call at 1st base that should have went the Cards way.

Sonic, It was totally opposite of what you said, Minnesota won the first two at home, Cards won next three at home, and then the Twins won the next two at home.

That was one hell of a late season run by the Nats.  Nearly unbeatable from late July on.  Congrats.

Hi Bryce.....Hope you're enjoying Philadelphia. Yup, you got your millions, but the Nats have a World Series championship trophy...& the best thing is....they did it without you.

Cards are in the WS so often, easy for me to get confused.  :)

I would say that Strasbourg's performance in Game 6 earned him the MVP of the Series, but it's hard to deny the amazing hitting and defense of Rendon.  That guy is a stellar baseball player.

This is all that matters with today's ball players.

What team will Rendon  be playing for next year?

I guess what I was trying to say Dan, is it's kind of childish and kind of fun from what I've seen on FB, all the meme's about Harper.

When most likely the World Champs will loss the WS MVP this coming season.

BTW: the Cardinals will be in the market for him until about 25 mill a season, than bow out.

How do you know they're going to lose Strasberg?

Oh, I'm sorry I had read Sonic post as Rendon was the MVP.

Childish though it may be, I'm really dying to see a Harper crying Jordan meme. ;)

There is only one name on that list that truly belongs. Should already be in. It's a true crime.

I've never been to Cooperstown, and on my bucket list. If he goes in I'm going.

As far back as some of these guys go, I would rank them to get in as:

  1. Steve Garvey
  2. Don Mattingly
  3. Thurman Munson
  4. Dave Parker
  5. Dale Murphy
  6. Lou Whitaker
  7. Ted Simmons
  8. Dwight Evans
  9. Tommy John
  10. Marvin Miller

I'm sure others ;) have a different opinion.

Others? :P

3. Thurman Munson

7. Ted Simmons

Check the stats my brother!

Two things working against Simmons one he played most of his career in STL and not NY or LA. and he played at the same time as Johnny Bench. Which he has more RBI's than.

I didn't compare, it's just a fact a lot of people want to over look.

She did, but when the Uber picked her up to go to the shipyard, it was one of those big, gas-guzzling Suburbans.  Then, she started in on the "how dare you!" thing again, and she never made it to port.

Facts: Only Yogi Berra has more RBI's 1430 than Simmons 1389 relating to Catchers that are already in the Hall

If Simmons was in the Hall he would have more hits than any other catcher, 2,472 compared to Carlton Fisk's 2,356.

Can someone other than @Robwarrior tell me I'm wrong in thinking Simmons belongs?
