i hate those stupid American dates

As a stupid American I resemble that! But month/day/year is the logical and sensible way to write dates and all civilized countries and or planets should only write it that way.

And some early pressings of Hungry Heart had Jon Landan on it.

Surely Day / Month / Year (from smallest to largest, the day being part of the month which in turn is part of the year) is the truly logical version. What logic is there in having the month first?

I prefers to eat dates preferably North African. They're not logical, just yummy.

So....If  Held Up would have been on the River album; then there would have been another song on the B Side of Hungry Heart; instead of staying in the vault until release of Tracks.

And the master tape of Held Up would not have been lost.

... or the master tapes to the entire album would have been lost.

This may prove that I'm not so worldly. But when I started looking in on this forum, it took me a few months to figure that the Euro's had this half ass backwards!

Yeah, we should have converted to metric decades ago...but we didn't. So love us as we are or not at all. And there's no way I'm watching (American) football with meters in place of yards!

Complete logic and convenience. If I have a folder for my Bruce shows from the 1980s and want then in chronological order month/day/year is the only way. If it's day first I'll get 2 June, 2 July and so on. Month first will have all shows from one month, then the next month. It just make files in order possible. That and that alone makes M/D/Y the superior method. Please, spare me your counter arguments. I win! :D

Nope... You can also do that by going YYYY/MM/DD.

Which is the correct order in reverse.

Yes but still month comes before day, which is the point of contention.

Just been given The River on vinyl for my birthday and noticed Held Up Without A Gun is written on the sleeve between Point Blank and Cadillac Ranch.

It's obviously not on the record but was it intended to go there? And is it worth more? :D

Send it to me and I'll get it checked out

Which is why I added "the correct order in reverse" bit.
