Bradley Cooper & Lady Gaga at the Oscars

Recommended Posts

Thank you so much for this BD! I just heard, this morning, that they'd won and was going to go hunting for this.

They've been practising their 'sha-ha-shallows'  I see. Lovely ending.

I had to go round to my youngest's house to let the gas bloke in. I was looking for a pen or pencil in the kitchen drawers … I know what I'm getting for my birthday. All together now … 'In the sha - ha - sha-a - llow ...' :D

Actually, was putting this on my FB page but d'you know what? It hurts my throat! It's too high for them both … and my throat always tightens when that happens. I'm going to put the original film version on, instead.

Beautiful performance and the song won!

It says the video is unavailable.

Those two must agree with me. Tee-hee.

AND they'll be sick to death of folk prattling on about lovey-dovey stuff. That's what's unkind, not their appearance - families would have known about that and what they'd be doing. It's a love song - from a film depicting a love story.

If you look on YouTube, lots of people have posted it, even Lady Gaga herself.

I thought it was a great performance. I bought into the romance, for sure.

Wonderful performance and song.  I think their voices work well together.

Don’t know what all the fuss is about. This, I think, was so much better...

Good but too ordinary.

A Star Is Born is a fantastic movie.

There's a Gaga doc on Netflix.

Very talented girl but quite the diva.  Disappointed in that.

I loved the movie too.

I came into it scarred over seeing the Judy Garland/James Mason version when i was young. But i needed to see Stephanie in a movie. She was awesome .... and i loved Dice as a the doting Italian Dad.

not you too ...

i just found the sucicide a cop out

a lazy ending

and i hated the Gaga music once the character got fame - and those dancers

it felt too far away from the initial sound at the beginning

I wonder if it was better and more impactful if you didn't know it was coming ...Because for me ...knowing what the ending would probably be haunted every frame .....

That's a fair point about the Dance Numbers ....But this was kind of a movie for Gaga fans and thats the kind of music that made her famous ....

I suppose I saw the Streisand film but couldn't remember it at all. I guessed what was going to happen cos he sort of told us early on … if you're good at listening to what's not being said. ;)

Daisey, I don't agree that it was a lazy ending as it happens so often … and often when people appear to be 'on the mend'. I thought it was well done.
