We saw Sam at the back door and gave him a shout … he had a chat with Maureen VZ then left with his family. I think that was his mam up on stage with Maureen near the end.

Great night, indeed!

Makes sense, but one song I can happily live without (whilst very much appreciating the cause in which it was written).

Oh I love Sun City (both the song and the cause)!

So I've finally listened to the album.
I think that 9 out of 13 songs are good - amazing.
The songs that were amazing on first listen are Hypersonic missiles (was quite a while since I heard it for the first time though) and White privilege. I was mesmerised by both (in different ways).
The songs I like the least are Play god and the three last tracks of the album. A bit of a bummer that almost all the worst songs are placed after eachother. Call me lover started to get on my nerves after a while on first listen. Seems to be a popular one and I can see why I guess, but I'm just not a fan of that type of song. The song Use isn't a type of song I enjoy either. It bored me. Leave fast is okay and so is Play god but they do more or less nothing for me.
As I said though: The other 9 songs are great!

I like the CD, but do feel maybe I am a little old to be listening to it.

You're never too old for good music as long as you think it's good. : )
