Graeme Parker and the Rumour

Recommended Posts

40th anniversary solo acoustic re-working of "Squeezing out Sparks" in the works, apparently.

That'll be worth a listen.

One of my favorites.

Graham Parker. One of the greatest of the greats.

I got to see him a few years ago on my bff's birthday and we met him after the show. HE WAS SO NICE! And he sang "Happy birthday" to her, which was majorly special.

One of my very favourite albums so I will be interested in this. We saw him a year or so ago and his voice was still strong.

Maybe not his best song but I always liked this video.

I always thought it was one of his best. I think it's my favorite.

Back in the 80's we were attempting to access him backstage after a concert. The guard was ready to throw us out. Graham spotted this, and told him to let us stay. Right away, a cool guy!

Graham Parker has an amazing amount of fantastic music.

I saw him live once...on a bill with Dave Edmunds, Dion and if my memory works the guy that was lead singer for the Fabulous Thunderbirds.

Great show.

Listening to the acoustic Sparks now - really enjoying it. 'You cant be too strong' had me in tears, as ever.

Oh I long for that day........again.

Did it come with a download code?

Sadly the vast majority of my listening is on the hoof, one way or another, so going full vinyl ain't an option practically.

Once I retire and get my man cave though ...........

There's no place like home ....there's no place like home .........

Sadly not, which is very annoying.

Yeah, the vinyl I'm buying is collectable/re-issue/deluxe edition stuff and it's a pain when there's no code.

Saw him on the Heat Treatment tour... wow! Intense, raw, and just outstanding musicianship from the Rumour. Hidden Classic. Not really related to this release but Sometimes I just feel like Pouring it All Out.

It’s an absolute travesty that GP & The Rumour didn’t achieve the success their great albums and wonderful live shows deserved. I’ll never forget discovering them in the late, lamented Marquee back in 1975.
