No Greasy Lake

Help, ever since a couple days ago. Can't get the site on my computer at work and my tablet at home, but can get it on my phone. Is there something I need to to get it back at work and home?

Ok, another new problem. Besides I can't get it at home on my tablet. My phone won't pick it up either unless I take it off Wi-Fi.

Can someone help please?

I'm having the same problem, JJ.   Cant' view any of the site from work on Chrome or Internet Explorer.  Fine at home on Safari.

But, it happened to me on Monday, I believe.  Strange.

has anyone emailed Karsten - some of the US providers don't have a DNS record for greasylake.org example attlocal.net

As AMIW says, it sounds like a DNS problem. Some ISP's for some reason don't resolve the greasylake.org domain correctly... or at all. I don't have an explanation for that, or a solution. There have been no changes in our DNS settings in months, so why some DNS's suddenly decide greasylake.org doesn't exist, I just don't know. You need to contact your ISP about it, I'm afraid.

You can also try to change your browser settings so that it will use Google's public DNS instead of your default ISP's DNS. Read about it here.

I will keep looking into it, but right now, there's nothing else I can do.

K I can verify that all of the ATT DNSs have the problem both the local one and the business one - it worked up until this week

so I am dead at home too, and on one of our two business lines - the other one managed by Verizon correctly resolves

greaslake.org to 154.16.146.113

I guess ATT doesn't like Bruce. I hope some of you will contact them about it.

I called them also, but wasn't thinking something was really going to happen. But I think your message did it.

I have ATT for my mobile phone and rarely have a problem. I have had occasions where the direct link into the "Community" won't work, in which case I've found that using greaseylake.org and then going thru the menus is the fastest fix.

Maybe try using the DNS numbers directly in the search bar?

Thanks Jim, but plugged in the DNS# no help.

I'll keep plugging away on my phone.

@AMIW, I'm back up on the PC at work. It's been a long three weeks. No more headaches hopefully.
