TRACKS 2 possible for Xmas release

Steering back to the possible release, I put together a three disc concept for Tracks II. This is what I'd like to see. Honestly, I'm not completely sold on the third disc and it could probably be cut down to two. But seeing as Bruce has stuff we've never even come close to sniffing, it could easily go to four, five or even six discs too.

DISC ONE

The Chosen

[One of, if not the only, true uncirculating outtake from Greetings]

Phantoms

[Remastered; music track became Zero & Terry]

Evacuation of the West

[Remastered]

Fire on the Wing

[WIESS outtake. Probably the most sought after uncirculating outtake in Bruce’s catalog. Master exists as it was considered for Tracks. My #1 as the circulating WIESS outtakes are the most intriguing to me due to their capturing the vibrancy and romanticism of early Bruce]

Lonely Night in the Park

[Remastered]

Walking in the Street (Lovers in the Cold)

[Remaster or re-record as Bruce claimed they couldn’t find the master for Tracks]

Janey Needs a Shooter

[Spanish-flared full band version recorded during BTR sessions]

Thunder Road

[Early solo acoustic take]

Preacher’s Daughter

[Remastered]

Castaway (The Ballad)

[Remastered or re-record]

Janey Needs a Shooter II

[Darkness/River era version; Might need to be a re-record as the circulating is a band rehearsal]

Angelyne

[River sessions backing track exists, vocal re-record]

Jole Blon

[River sessions backing track exists, vocal re-record]

Chevrolet Deluxe

[Remastered]

The Losin’ Kind

[Remastered]

Child Bride

[Remastered]

DISC TWO

Richfield Whistle

[Remastered]

Protection

[Remastered]

Glory Days

[Extended version with extra verse]

The Klansman

[Remastered]

Seven Tears

[Remastered]

Follow that Dream

[Remastered]

Sugarland

[Remastered]

Don’t Back Down

[Remastered]

Club Soul City

[Backing Track Exists; vocal re-record]

Savin’ Up

[Remastered]

Drop On Down (And Cover Me)

[Remastered]

Unsatisfied Heart

[Remastered; might be the best song Bruce has never released]

Betty Jean

[Remastered]

Light of Day

[Appears that backing track was recorded at the very least; deserves a proper release]

Ida Rose [No One Knows]

[Uncirculating but considered for Tracks; There are a number of unknown and uncirculating BUSA outtakes but this one’s title has always intrigued me]

King’s Highway

[Uncirculating but considered for Tracks]

DISC THREE

Walking Through Midnight

[TOL outtake co-written with Southside Johnny (who released it later); might need to be a new recording as it was likely never cut]

Red-Headed Woman

[Uncirculating as studio take]

Homestead

[Remastered; co-written with Joe Gruschecky]

Blind Spot

[Uncirculating 1994 recording; said to be amazing]

Between Heaven and Earth

[Uncirculating 1994 recording]

Blood Brothers

[Rock Version]

Tiger Rose

[Uncirculating GOTJ outtake]

Idiot’s Delight

[Uncirculating GOTJ outtake]

I’m Turning into Elvis

[Uncirculating GOTJ outtake]

It’s the Little Things that Count

[Uncirculating GOTJ outtake]

I’ll Stand You Always

[Released on Blinded by the Light Soundtrack]

In Freehold

[Rising sessions recording?]

Pilgrim in the Temple of Love

[Rising sessions recording?]

American Man

[WB outtake; uncirculating]

Cold Spot

[High Hopes outtake; uncirculating]

Devils & Dust

[Full band cut; probably never recorded but considering the results of the live performances they should]

No "Arabian Nights", no buys.

I was there that night, Shane! We heard him soundcheck it and I just about lost it! It was brilliant.

Can I please just get an official release of THIS version of Blood Brothers instead?

The only way Bruce could possibly release such an unfinished track is if he did something à la Dylan’s bootleg series (thing of the Cutting Edge stuff).

When I saw him at Vernon Downs, I kept tweeting him a picture of 4 requests. It read:

Shane’s Vernon Downs wishlist:

1. Anything from Human Touch

2. Anything from Luckytown

3. Devils and Dust (Full Band)

4. Crush on You

Must have worked because like I said, I got Human Touch

Let’s hope this is true. Tracks is what really made me a fan. I realized how vast his catalogue was and that the studio albums were only scratching the surface. Nearly all of the songs were new to me the first time I listened. I would love a Tracks 2. Since BITUSA is 35 this year, a blu-Ray of one the shows would be great to have as well. Maybe the final show in LA.

Human Touch is quite the rarity in its own right!

It definitely is! It was one of the songs I had always hoped to hear live and I’m beyond thankful that he was gracious enough to oblige. Crush on You would be amazing live I’m sure. I’d love to hear either that or Cadillac Ranch. There is always the upcoming E Street tour so im hopeful.

I've been lucky enough to hear both Caddy and Crush on You. Never got Human Touch though.

I still to this day don’t know why people shit on those two albums but love TGOTJ. TGOTJ is one of my least favorite albums ever. DAD is far superior in my opinion.  Must be a matter of preference. Is it the lack of the ESB? The style in which he sings or how the songs sound? It was new and different from the Bruce we knew. Don’t get me wrong, the ESB will always hold a special place in my heart but the other band did great too. HT and LT were the first 2 albums I ever owned of Bruce’s. They are full of great songs. Granted, there are a few songs I skip over but I personally think those albums are great.

Am I going crazy or was there another thread for Tracks 2 on here yesterday that I replied to - regarding the release being of shelved albums?

If there is going to be a box set of some kind for Christmas release (and the trail of the BITUSA box has gone stone cold) the announcement must be no more than two weeks away (assuming that it's a November release).

I looked for the thread last night, too.

I think you might mean the thread that 'Bruce is recording now'

Not crazy, we deleted a few unsubstantiated claims that have no support except the ramblings of a person with questionable motives.

When we hear something more definitive about Tracks 2, I am sure we will discuss it endlessly.

But we aren't willing to let someone wind up everyone's expectations with a post like "some guy said" and cause others to think there is even a thread of truth in it, simply because they "saw it on Greasy Lake"

Well, that's not as interesting an explanation as the space-time continuum theory I was working on.

If people make up impossibly crazy crap and claim to have super secret inside sources for their crazy crap, maybe.

Guessing about stuff is fun, claiming you are in the know when you aren't is just internet trolling
