Born To Walk
On this day in history: On this day 60 years ago, The Beatles made their debut at The Cavern Club. John, Paul, George, Stuart and Pete had not long returned from Hamburg. They played a 1pm lunchtime session and received £5. The Beatles would play The Cavern Club 292 times between 9th Feb 1961 and 3rd August 1963.
Popular Post JustDan
I lost you two days ago. Now you are at peace...feeling no pain, free from worry and sorrow. I remember you asking me to make you a Mix tape. You loved 'Yesterday'. It was your favorite song. You played it incessantly, you never tired of hearing it, to the point where I implored you "mom, will you stop playing the dumb song! You've heard millions of time". You gave me a stern look and admonished me.."it's MY song. I will listen to it as mush as I want Daniel". You have been the soul of our family for 65 years. You have been loving, nurturing and a light in all our souls. For 93 years, you graced every one with your smile, your laugh, your sense of comic mischief, your caring and nurturing soul. Even though you've been sick for the last few years, and your passing has set you free from pain & sadness, even though we realize that this was a blessing, not having you here with me, with all of us, is achingly sad and leaves a gaping hole in all our hearts. I love you mom, and I will carry your spirit in my soul to guide me, protect me, soothe me for always. It may take a while for me to listen to 'Yesterday', but there will come a time when I will listen to it and think of you with love and joy. Rest and fly with the angels. Shine your light on me. I know I will see it.
