I really like Bruce to talk about his songs - his life, his thoughts on existence, of meaning in this world. It doesn't detract from my own interpretations. I can still infuse the songs with the

Yeah, that really threw me. Since we've heard him speak in the past year and he didn't sound nearly that old, and since he's not a smoker, I'm going to assume it's...not exactly intentional, but that

What are lollies over there? Over here, they were one of my favorite candies as a kid. I love them so much that I actually bought a 120 count tub of them on Amazon last year. The Rockets brand was called Double Lollies and Smarties brand had one, too. I think it was called a Smartie Pop. They were an affordable 5 cents each when I was a little kid.

Found it interesting that the film is on Warner Bros. That's a first - Bruce releasing sonething on another label that isn't a tribute or a guest appearance.

They may have simply shopped it around the distributors for best deal.

For people commenting on how "old" Bruce sounds narrating this trailer, did you happen to listen to the audiobook of his autobiography? To me, he's sounded weary like this for several years now. Then again, he's always been a soft and raspy speaker when he's not on stage.

Yes, he does sound similar on Broadway also. There's a dry huskiness to the voice that wasn't present before. As long as he can still sing, I can live with it.

Has anybody mentioned that he doesn't look well?  I know folks have commented that the years seem to have finally caught up with him but also the nostalgia thing in this trailer makes me think.  And I hate thinking.

Anyway, getting back on topic...I like the Western Stars trailer more than I like most movies.

Has there been any information on the release as far as where it will be showing? I'm assuming it's a limited run, which is why I think we'll see a DVD release shortly after. Bruce may be king around here, but a conceptual concert film of his latest album isn't going to be a blockbuster. I'm wondering how far I'll have to ride to see it. Los Angeles? San Diego? Somewhere in the OC?

Guys, I've played this a couple of times now, I don't heard 100 years old at all. I hear him as he did on the Broadway show. But he doesn't sound 100.

101?

I wasn't really enthused at the talk of a "film" to go with this album but having seen this trailer it has really whet the appetite and now I'm looking forward to it immensely - not least to see some of the landscapes that will remind me/us of our road trips (especially the one we just did this June/July). That kiss behind the hat I'm sure (thinking back to the book) is on their honeymoon. This is some ways at points could be a visual alternative to the book/Broadway thing but with a different soundtrack!? Be intriguing to see if some of the old classics (or indeed rarer but appropriate tracks) make it in to the film alongside obviously the whole of Western Stars!  I'm guessing this will be another of those "One Night Only" at cinemas and then DVD. Looking forward to it!

'Lollies' here is a generic term for all confectionery or sweets. So Milk Duds and the others in Daisey's photo would all fall under the broad banner of 'lollies', along with other hard and soft confectionery. I think we use the term in the same way you folks use 'candies' as a catch all.

Thank you.

Maybe you could explain why ratting someone out is called lagging?
