The first live-action Star Wars television series. Looks gritty. Who's that familiar form frozen in carbonite? Can't be Han Solo since this show takes place after Return Of The Jedi.

Damn. I'm not a Star Wars fan in the slightest but if he's in it then I'll be watching.

Just that brief shot of his face in the trailer, but he looks to be in pretty good shape.

Oh and don’t know if anyone mentioned

this but the series will b e released weekly and not all dropped at once like Netflix does

this apparentle is part of Disney’s strategy to stop people signing up for a free trial watching a series and

then cancelling

Well,  that is smart on their part. Being the geek I am, I’m excited about this and the MCU shows, especially Loki.

I enjoyed it very much in the same way I enjoyed both the recent stand-alone films more than I did the prequel or latest trilogy. I've learned from Lucas' prequels and the new trilogy to set my expectations more realistically when it comes to Star Wars. Nothing they do with the franchise will ever equal the original trilogy that I loved in my childhood. The Mandalorian is a good lone-gunfighter story with plenty of old-school Star Wars action, sets and props and the surprise at the end of this first episode sets it up nicely to have a broader meaning across the greater Star Wars saga.
