I'm the only person on the planet who hasn't watched the top three.

My tuppence worth following an only perfunctory scan, The Thick of It should be number one, American Office should be marginally higher than the UK version, The Trip, Veep, Sherlock, Parks & Rec, Brass Eye:Paedogeddon are all criminally lowly in their rankings.

I’ve seen two of the top twenty.

why do you think there is a wee group of us who know all the 20th century tv classics yet have no idea what most of the 21st century is about ?

In my case because I am getting old and have no space in my mind for new learnings.

Plus I am a cantankerous old nay-sayer.

I can't put any stock in a list that leaves SOAP out.

Soap, Mary Hartman, Mary Hartman and Fernwood Tonight would all be on my list of top 100 shows.

Disappointed not to see the reimagined Battlestar Galactica on the top 100 21st Century shows. Tremendous show that goes well outside it's nominal sci-fi genre

Having rediscovered 'The Last Kingdom', I'm really surprised to see how far under the radar it is.  I'd certainly put it in my top 20.

Seems to have been widely ignored by the BAFTAs, Emmys etc too, despite some superb writing and acting.

Give it a try if you don't mind a bit of blood 'n' guts here and there.  It has plenty of humour to compensate and Alexander Dreymon is smokin hot
All 3 series are on Netflix now.

If Dirk Bennedict 70's Starbuck had tried to put his original BSG moves on Katee Sackhoff's 2000's Starbuck, I think poor Dirk would've ended up lying prone on the flight deck floor holding his privates in agony...
