This is going to be a film when it comes to DVD that I'm simply going to have to watch many times.

I don't recall that part, but love how someone can time when it starts having only been at the theater so far.

Or maybe a little streaming going on somewhere.

There is a moment in the film version of Western Stars, its about 3.42....Bruce's voice meets the choir, meets the string section, meets the backing vocalists, and he sings

'Tonight the riders on Sunset are smothered in the Santa Ana winds...'

And it is transendental

It is beautiful, and I love it.

Amen.

That particular line on the album has been my favourite from the start, on the soundtrack it is just out of this world.

Same here. I'm sure I mentioned that line when the studio album first came out

Oh yes.

I felt that ‘back of the neck’ tingle that you get when something you’re listening to hits that sweet spot - I swear you could hear a collective intake of breath in the theatre.

Paolo's essence thread is all about those breathtaking parts of various songs, and this particular part of WS has to be included. Both studio, and live.

Is this the most specific thread ever? Not just discussing an album or even a song, but timed to an exact second on a single track!

If only “Western Start” were a track, then yes!
