I watched Brian Johnson's "A Life on the Road" episode featuring Sting last night.

In mostly all the current segments, my wife and I agreed that Sting's features appeared creepily similar to Bruce's.

Do they use the same plastic surgeon and hair plugger?:o  ;)

Obviously a little tongue in cheek but we couldn't help but notice.

I've still to understand exactly why Sting is so reviled here. Some silly-ass thing about it being his fault Bruce "fired" the E Streeters back in '89, I think. I dunno. As far as his features, I saw that episode & to me, I didn't think he resembles Bruce at all.....but that's just mua though...

Yeah, I don't understand it either.  I'm not a big Sting fan but have no bitterness for him.  The missus loves him though.

To us, his hair and eye area just hit us as "Bruce-like".  Maybe it was the wine.:D  I DVR'ed it so I'll go back and have another look.

Not much of a Sting fan myself... I prefer Richard Thompson...

Here comes Geordie, back in town again
Here comes Geordie, strutting down the lane
Girls all want to toy with his affection
Boys all say, he loves his own reflection

Hey now, Geordie, sing us all a song
Whoa there, Geordie, where's your mother tongue?
That don't sound like Tyneside to me
Geordie, are you from Jamaica, ee?

Here comes Geordie in his private plane
Got to save the planet once again
Good old Geordie, righteous as can be
Chop down the forest just to save a tree

Good old Geordie went to buy a hat
Geordie says, my head won't fit in that
It's so swollen, much to my surprise
They're all too small, there's nothing in my size

Here comes Geordie acting in a play
He's no Gielgud or Olivier
Stiff as cardboard, isn't it a drag
Can't act his way out of a paper bag

Here comes Geordie, back in town again
Here comes Geordie, strutting down the lane
Girls all love him, think he is the end
Boys all say, the mirror's his best friend

Watching The Irishman, I kept thinking that Deniro and Bruce are dead ringers these days.

I don't know what happened, because I thought Bruce was aging pretty fookin' well the past 10-15 years or so. Suddenly, he's looking more like his 70 years. He just seems to look kind of droopy and....maybe it's just me but, I could swear he's walking around with a slight gimp to his gait. In that CBS interview with Gail...whatever her name is...(King?)...he seemed to move slowly & cautiously. & when he talks, his voice sounds high & whispery-like, as if maybe he's straining a bit.

uh oh.... .....incoming .......

Two of the best albums to come out of the late 70s....Accept no substitutes.

I'm sure if Sting told Bruce to jump off a bridge he also woulda done that.  He has always been so easily persuaded and all.

Just don't like Sting. Has nothing to do with any connection to Bruce, I just don't like him. Not his voice, not his demeanor. (Have you ever seen him clapping??) Sorry, he just rubs me the wrong way. Like Bono. I'm sure there are reasons to like these guys, but ...

I'll thank Sting for giving Bruce the melody for the Wall but that's it. Nowt against him but not my cup of tea. I am a huge Richard Thompson fan, however, and do wonder would he had against Sting!

I feel the same. There is something repellent about Sting, something I can't even name.

Yes, BJ from AC/DC.

In the states it's on AXSTV.  It originated on BBC I believe and possibly streaming online.

Cool, I love shows when rock stars, or former, start shit like this.  Like Daryl Hall's neat little show.

That’s fair.  His clapping aside (yes, strange I agree!), I really, really like his music.  Bono as well.

Different strokes...
