If you could hear the E Street Band cover one song live they've never done, which would you choose?

Clever you .  Even as a native English speaker I wouldn't be confident.  Abba lyrics can be quite dense and intricate.

That's interesting to hear (as a Swede). Can you elaborate? Any song examples?

Yes!

Some Abba songs are quite simple eg Money Money Money, but others have lines which have to be stressed exactly right to fit all the words in.  An obvious example is The Day Before You Came.  But others like Voulez Vous and SOS have some fairly long lines too.

I've often thought an ABBA drinking game could be fun. Every time they sing the letter "S" where it sounds like a "z" in America but they dont sing it that way ....we drink......Or maybe a bong hit for those so inclined  The word music is a classic example ..... I could get pretty banged up listening to Andante Andante.

So thanks to this thread I have been listening to ABBA songs for the last two hours...

But I must admit, I am always surprised by the amount of love for ABBA in this community. A disproportional amount of members seem to like it, and I'm really happy with that, since it makes me feel less abnormal

I've been listening to their discography for the first time this past week, so I'm definitely in that mood at the moment. : )

Bruce could've sung Frida's part and Stevie could've sung Agnetha's part. Just transpose it down a few steps.

I wasn't taking the piss by the way.

Expresso Love Please ....My god almost the whole album....

Yes to Warren ....Disorder In The House !

Ball Of Confusion was a great suggestion.

Ill go with "Rip This Joint" for my suggestion.

And of course i'd like to see them cover Detroit Medley :(

Love me some Warren Zevon.  One of the most underrated artists.   Desperados under the Eaves would be another good option for a cover.

I hoped so much they would do "Heroes" at Wembley last time round.  It would have been a tribute to David Bowie in his home city, after his death earlier that year.  And it could also have been a nod to the recently deceased Muhammed Ali.  Instead they did "Tougher Than The Rest" and dedicated it Ali.   I was really disappointed.  Not the first time Bruce has missed a golden opportunity for a memorable cover.

Like John Fogerty played Proud Mary by Ike and Tina Turner?  ('Why do you play a cover of an Ike and Tina Turner song?'   True story!)

I think The Weight by The Band would be pretty nice.
