2020 - ?

Yep.  No rumours at all of any recording sessions, so all the fuss could be about the box.  After all, it's the thirty fifth anniversary of that triumphant, record breaking,  globe straddling BITUSA stadium tour.  His defining era.

Many of the bigger stadiums in Europe will be getting used for Euro 2020 this summer.

Also, I think it's more likely if there is to be a tour this year that it would start in the USA. Agree with those who say a BITUSA box set is more likely to to be released given that there has been no reports of any recording of a new ESB record anywhere. I'm sure I read somewhere on here recently that SVZ had tweeted that there had been no decision made yet as to a tour in 2020.

A tour celebrating BITUSA would not get me terribly excited. I would go, of course, but it's not what I am hoping for.

We're maybe drifting off a bit here. Any Box Set, be it BITUSA, Tracks II, or even Nebraska is unlikely to be released before October / November and therefore would be unrelated to any 2020 tour.

Think you’re right - plus, the rumour highly suggests it’s a newly recorded album

It had been said for a while that he intended to go into the studio in the later end of 2019, maybe he just got lucky and avoided the press?

Like a tour in arenas.

Which goes with: maybe you will not get tickets then, and that is also true.

There's plenty that won''t.  And they don't have to be the biggest anyway.
Southampton St Mary's was good enough for the Rolling Stones.
And the wonderful Cardiff 2013 show was in July, with only half the stadium used and the roof on.

And in a parallel universe, there will be a tour in arenas in celebration of the Nebraska box set.
