Watching my Hammersmith ‘75 blu ray now with incredible vinyl rip dubbed audio.

Firstly, I love that legendary hat. I can’t believe the Bruce store has never sold them with Hammersmith 1975 embroidery. I’d buy one even now no matter how silly it would make me look.

Secondly when Bruce loses his hat under the stage during Spirit, he whispers into the mic to ask if anyone has seen it. Now I haven’t listened to enough ‘75 shows to know if he always did that as part of his act or not. But he then plays Lost in the Flood next without his hat, with his long hair clearly annoying him as he brushes it out of his eyes with his hand throughout. Then, it is suddenly back for She’s The One.

So did somebody throw the hat back on to the stage or did Bruce grab a spare one?

I can't stand that hat. I found it very distracting how he kept messing around with it.

the hat is my least favourite thing about an otherwise prefect performance

it just looks so dam itchy to me

maybe it was a cold night out ?

It's the best hat he ever wore. It's a magic hat, it like the Cinderella's shoe..

I'm not a fan of this football team but i reckon you should be a fan of Luton Town

I’m tempted to take up knitting - how hard could it be?

Could be a great fundraiser we all have enough T-Shirts already :)

Brilliant. He didn’t shout “turn the guitar up?” by any chance did he :D

No he didn't .
We are never allowed to forget he was there. If he had been immortalised in the recording he would be insufferable!

(Whereas I would never mention that it was me that called out 'Santa" on Brixton Night to ensure we got to hear Pilgrim in The Temple of Love )

The Hammersmith hat! The people at greasylake always find some good reason to start a new topic. And I am happy to jump in! As I was preparing a new entry in the Just Bruce! topic about the Hammersmith 1975 shows, I just share them here. Looks like the hat was already on during pre-show :P Ps: to me not only the hat, but also the baggy trousers stand out. Looks like he just came back from a Navy overstock ...
