Send a PM to Erik. He can wax lyrical and make you feel as if RM is a classic.

No need to do that, I already made the biggest defence for the song in my Uni Dissertation

Can someone please cut Flannigan off the kool aid?

But that was way back then, long ago.

I got the other three from this era and LINYC, do I really need this one?

I feel sorry for Erik. He has to come up with something new and hyperbolic once a month. It must be getting difficult to say something new! They could farm these reviews out to different writers to get different perspectives, but I guess they are really not ‘reviews’, in the sense that there will never be anything critical on them, anyway. I do think, especially as multiple shows from the same tours become available, that there could be more links made between them.

Yeah we were talking about this on the Archive Rumours thread yesterday. He's an expert and I think just about everyone of us on here (Lampi excluded, probably) would love to be as knowledgeable as him about all of these shows. At the day's end, though, his job is to sell these shows and whether what he's written wherever is cringey or not, it's better for him, Nugs and Bruce Inc. that he writes like that rather than be super critical of the performances.

Love Atlantic City and the interesting phrasing choices. Two Hearts also cool that way.

Oh God, very sorry about that. I thought it was ok to make requests for bootleg recordings. Won't happen again!

I thought so long as its not an offical Bruce inc or nugs release, actual  audience recordings are fine so long as no money changes hands

Surley they are two completly different things

If you’re looking at Philadelphia ‘99 and thinking it is “only” 22 songs long, remember six of those tracks top the ten-minute mark on this night of epic performances. I’ve heard longer Reunion tour shows, but I’ve never heard stronger.

Each E Streeter wraps themselves in musical glory: Stop it Stevie. Stop it Big Man. Stop it Roy. You’re killing us with your melodic beauty.

If i could spell better id write shit like this

Xxxx Nicky/ Daisey Flanagan

C's playing on point blank i enjoyed so much more than the first time i heard the river from LINYC

@Jimmy James this is a great show, its very energizing, (no disrespect to a great record) but its the antidote to western stars, i feel alive not bogged down in regrete

Ffs Erik. Get a grip. That third paragraph is total cringe.

Looks like Dave Marsh now has an official successor when it comes to Springsteen-related music journalism. Good show though.

I’m joining you, can’t get enough of the stuff! I could do what Erik does :D

This show is epic! That I didn’t have a bootleg of this one is a big bonus. A new discovery for me B)
