I like it after my first listen (which is not always a true sign of my long term feeling of a song). So much better than the stuff he threw on Western Stars.
mad man with a box
Lovely! Great to see the band in the video and a great E Street Band sound going that'll hopefully carry through the album 1

Harry42
Good stuff, a proper E St tune. particularly enjoyed the sweeping synths! Augurs well for album hopefully. Video not too shabby either.

OK, I listened to it on my laptop so I didn't see that, but I like those canvas. I liked the song as well (I liked Western Stars though), and after two listens I would already say I like it more than anything on High Hopes. A really nice tune!
biloxiparish
Nice little song on the first listen. WOAD + LT. Hopefully not the best song on the album tho. Loved seeing band members there too.
Growin' Up
Bit of a Loose Change (great track) sound when he sings 'blue'
BruceWho
I really like it (from first listen - which sometimes isn't the best thing but I think is okay in this instance) - my immediate thought was that it was like a band take on something that could have been on Western Stars and that's just fine by me (I'd be happy to hear some WS tunes on any future ESB tour!, and their working of them - just like how TOL was so different in concert!). Seeing them all together / making music just underlines what we have all missed out on this year due to Covid!!!
risingaurora
Love the song. Great drums and organ sound! The description too...album recorded live in studio on 5 days, no overdubs.... bring it Bruce! 1

Bruce has always had a keen sense for romantic nostalgia, so I’m glad to see that here too.

THUE
Nice little diddy's. Musically E Steet. Lyrics have some classic bruce themed lines. Letter to You. Who? First impression, a letter to himself. But could be interpreted in many ways.
