I hope o'boogie can get refunds on his Real and PSG shirts and buy Roma and Villareal ones in time for tomorrow's matches.

Just reinforces that fact that clubs have an easier time during the season and have less intense games than other leagues in Europe, this is constant week in week out facts, just take a look at a cross section of english premier league results this season alone : -

government bans travel to turkey

bad news for anyone who has booked a flight

I gather Villa have offered to stage it, which would be totally sensible and would probably allow a few thousand fans to attend.

If UEFA insist on the game being played in Istanbul you have to suspect ulterior motives coming into play. Surely they owe City and Chelsea a favour for being the clubs which collapsed the ESL.

Honestly though, how dreadful were Madrid across those two semi final games. Should have been about 7-1 on aggregate. No wonder they still haven’t left the super league.

And that they're still in the race for the league title shows how poor spanish club football has become over the last few years.

I tend to agree but I’ll wait for the Europa league final first!

Got these odds from Wm Hill bookmaker yesterday : -

1 - 2/1                    12 - 1000/1

2 - Evens               13 - 1250/1

3 - 5/8 on               14 - 1300/1

4 - 3/1                     15 - 1500/1

5 - 7/1                      16 - 2500/1

6 - 100/1                  17 - 5000/1

7 - 250/1                  18 - 10,000/1

8 - 750/1                  19 - 50,000/1

9 - 1000/1                20 - 100,000/1

10 - 1000/1               21 - 400,000/1

11 - 1000/1                22- 750,000/1

These were for the all english final and were given to me to bet on how many english players will be on the field of play at the start of the game, I thought I would live dangerously and have a little flutter 7/1, wish me luck.

Wow!  That's pretty shocking really.  And what a leap between 5, 6 and 7.

I think you got the right number.

City: Walker, Stones and Foden

Chelsea: Mount and Chillwell

Only thing that can throw his out is a Sterling selection.

I know what your saying. But Chelsea will not be selecting either Odoi or Abraham. Maybe James but that would leave the Captain out, don't thing that would happen.

Sterling is the only logical player that can change this from 5-6!

Born or not he still plays from the English squad!

I feel sorry for the folk who had already booked a nice trip to Porto for this time, expecting to enjoy a relaxing few days taking in the cultural and culinary delights of the city.  With the arrival now of 12,000 football fans from England I suspect the general ambience in Porto will not be quite what these visitors to the city were hoping to soak in.

All things considered, it does seem rather ridiculous that the authorities etc could not see a way of being able to accommodate this game in England at this particular time.

Manchester City owner Sheikh Mansour will cover the costs of the official fans' trip to the Champions League final.

City and Chelsea are each allowed to take 6,000 fans to Porto for the all-Premier League final on May 29.

From what I understand from other City fans, this team ownership, has done great things in and around Manchester. If only we could get past the money and oil!!
