I think you will find that was NOT from the game last night.

I think we know that. I thought 'respect' was the buzz word? They're like everybody else. Well, some never dive ... but many do.

And no, I don't condone it - but chuckling at the audacity of some of them.

the whole of Europe are rooting for you.

INot everyone else is blinded by prejudice and, a bit of Eriksson sympathy aside, much of "Europe" won't particularly care who wins.

It's not the 1980s - that kind of tribalism just isn't the norm these days

I'm assuming that's meant to be ironic.

The Prime Minister's official spokesman said: "The entire nation has been gripped by the Euros"

Another lie.

No, it's not.

Most people that I meet don't base their opinion of others on something arbitrary and random such as what country they're from (or what the colour of their hair is or whether they've got ears that stick out or whatever).

Thirty or forty years ago they did. Times have changed.

It’s effectively a home tournament now for England and they really should win it. The players are good enough and after months and months on end playing lifeless and glorified practice games behind closed doors it must be exhilarating for the players to have that Wembley crowd behind them.

How do you respond without it including your previous quoted post (which I tried and failed to delete)?

Busstop underestimates England's ability to pluck failure from the jaws of success!

They should win tonight fairly comfortably but Denmark could easily win - they didn't win their place in the semis in a raffle! Against Italy I'm far less sure. Although the Italians have played more minutes they will get an extra day to rest and are always good.

I bet that hurt!

With the high standards set by the players between the posts, I've found myself gripped by the goalies.

Almost as boring as Andrew's 'coming home' posts.

Imagine the newspaper headlines next Monday if we do actually win the thing.

Just seen it again and thought there was maybe a push in the back that sent him over.

Refereeing in this game has been actively bad (bad decisions both ways). I've not watched many games in the tournament but thought that the standard had been high.

If I was Danish I'd be seriously hacked off - but it's not over yet.
