It was a good game, NV played well but needs more than 2 guys who can score.  I was pleased that at least last night the gap between teams was not that great.

Another close one but the Aztecs held on 69-67.

Lost in all of this was that Carolina won last night while Dook lost...So needless to say it was a good day for that.

Game day. The greatest rivalry in college basketball and one of the greatest in all of sports. Go Heels!

Yep, congratulations on the sweep.  I will be interested to see how NV responds after 2 tough losses to a quality conference opponent.

hey @JudgeBrown or @DarknessandHope or whoever. Has the NCAA stated a minimum amount of games played to get into the tournament? I see a lot of 6-1, and 7-2 type records. Just wondering if you heard anything like that.

It may be like in football.  The Big 10 said 6 was the minimum number of games to qualify for the championship game, until Ohio State would have been left out.  Then they were selected as one of the 4 teams to play for the national Championship.  I will guess the rules will be made/enforced on the name of the school.

That's my suspicion as well.

Joe Lunardi updates this regularly, but this is his breakdown of different tournament scenarios of a 68, 48, or 16 team tournament...He is usually spot on.

I have been following that, the prospect of a 16 team field is interesting to be sure.

The teams with the most clout are favored by the selection committee and the national offices. Really wanted to see an IU/Northwestern match up, hell if they wanted to do IU/OSU I would have been fine with that, but IU got the short end of that stick and went 0-3 in bowl games since 1991 grrrr.
