If only counting internationally known acts (no order):

The Strokes - The new abnormal
HAIM - Women in music pt. III
Bruce Springsteen - Letter to you
Taylor Swift - folklore
The Killers - Imploding the mirage
Taylor Swift - evermore

My greatest discovery of the year is no doubt Hayley Mary:

Curious where you'd rank LTY since it didn't crack your top 11

And Bruce doesn't crack the top 11?

I honestly don't know.

In any other year that a Bruce album came out (with the exception of HH and WOAD) Bruce would be # 1 or 2 and even HH and WOAD were clear to 10s for me.

Letter to You, sadly, does next to nothing for me. I love Ghosts and listen to Letter and Priests regularly, but after that it just falls off a cliff for me.

I didn't listen a lot of music this year. A lot of Bruce obviously who was a big support during my depression.

But recently I just discovered a new taste of music. Pop and Jazzy.

Bruce Springsteen - Letter To You

Taylor Swift - Folklore + Evermore

Norah Jones - Pick me up off the floor

Killers - Imploding the mirage

Some good albums this year, apart from Bruce's, that I've enjoyed a lot. In particular:

Manchester Calling - Paul Heaton & Jacqui Abbott

Old Flowers - Courtney Marie Andrews

The Dirt And The Stars - Mary Chapin Carpenter

A Dark Murmuration Of Words - Emily Barker

Album of the year, Maria Mckee - La Vita Nuova, closely followed by David Byrne American Utopia on Broadway OST.

Great albums from Bob Dylan,  Mary Chapin Carpenter, Amy Macdonald, Dixie Chicks, Shelby Lynne, Sparks, Paul Heaton and Jacqui Abbot, James Maddock, Kathleen Edwards and Bruce.

Bought the new Avalanches album today, so that may sneak in judging by the reviews. Not listened yet.

My top ten studio albums in no particular order:

- Bruce, Letter to You
- Bob, Rough & Rowdy Ways
- Neil, Homegrown
- Phish, Sigma Oasis
- moe., This Is Not, We Are
- American Aquarium, Lamentations
- Paul Weller, On Sunset (probably my most-played album this year)
- Circles Around the Sun (same)
- Bright Eyes, Down in the Weeds Where the World Once Was
- Band of Heathens, Stranger

Numerous spins also got new albums by The Dream Syndicate, Lambchop, Calexico, Lettuce, Bruce Hornsby, Jason Isbell, Khruangbin, Sharon Jones & the Dap-Kings, Shelby Lynne, Emily Barker

Live albums: Nick Mason's Saucerful of Secrets/Live at the Roundhouse (totally blew me away), Ghost Light/Cervantes, War on Drugs/Live Drugs

Overall musical highlight of 2020: Trey Anastasio's Beacon Jams, an eight-week residency at New York's Beacon Theatre this fall with different musicians coming and going (background vocalists, horn section, strings), acoustic reworkings of many old songs and NOT A SINGLE REPEAT. Check out the pro-shot videos on YouTube, sounds and looks amazing.

Loving this top 3 - all cracking albums, especially that Phoebe Bridgers one - if you like those guys you'd like Julia Jacklin, a really cool Australian singer/songwriter

I've also liked the new AC/DC, Neil Young (Homegrown) and Fontaine's D.C. albums
