Goodness with the one obvious exception (REM) there is some rubbish in there.

I don't know if @CosmicKid encourages @CmonMrTrouble to visit other boards or not but my guess is that the more time that Mikey spends away from here the smoother this place runs.

I don’t care what they think Eileen. I do care about the people that know me putting the fellow straight so thank you. It’s one thing if he doesn’t care for my taste (which of course is class) but to

Richard (and Linda) Thompson; Tom Waits; Townes Van Zandt; R.E.M.; Echo & The Bunnymen.

Only 5, so no room for some other favourite 80s artists/bands (The Smiths, The Triffids, The Pogues, The Feelies, 'Paisley Underground' bands). No room left for Dylan also, but I guess he will get some mentions by others anyway. And no Sandy Denny, but let's say she is represented a little (sort of) by Richard and Linda Thompson.

4. Oasis

Have you watched Liam's recent Down by the river Thames gig? He played Headshrinker and Fade away for the first time and they sounded great (or in other words biblical)!

2) Frank Turner

3) Bleachers

4) The Beatles

5) Chris Stapleton

I love many of those listed by others too
