So here we are this week, yet another chance for a Tomlin era Steeler team to lose to a really bad team.  In this case, that's the league-worst-record Lions at 0-8.  Steelers have won 4 in a row to get to 5-3, and would seem to be in line for a sure win at home.  Ahhh, but not with Tomlin in charge.  As burghfan and I both know, the Tomlin era has been riddled with bad loses to really bad teams, despite the fact that Tomlin has never had a losing season as a head coach.  So I decided to do some research and here's the highlights (or lowlights) of bad Steeler loses since Tomlin took over in 2007.  Got a feeling another may be added to the list this week.

2007 loss to 1-8 Jets (Steelers were 7-2)

2009 loss to 2-7 Chiefs (Steelers were 6-3)

2009 loss to 3-8 Raiders (Steelers were 6-5)

2009 loss to 1-11 Browns (Steelers were 6-6)

2012 loss to 2-8 Browns (Steelers were 6-4)

2014 loss to an 0-3 Tampa Bay team that would finish 2-14

2014 loss to 1-8 Jets (Steelers were 6-3)

2017 loss to an 0-2 Bears team who would lose 9 of their other first 11 games and finish 5-11

2018 loss to 2-10 Raiders (Steelers were 7-4-1)

2019 loss to 5-9 Jets (Steelers were 8-6)

2020 loss to 2-10-1 Bengals (Steelers were 11-2)

@gsquare called it.

The Steelers didn't lose but the tie sure seems like a loss.  I'm not sure what else the Steelers could have done or had go wrong to not get the win.  Their top CB (Haden), best player (TJ Watt), 2 starting guards all left due to injury, there was a TD called back due to a holding penalty, an INT that was wiped out due to a defensive holding, lost 2 fumbles in OT.

Cleveland was supposed to be a Super Bowl contender, New England was maybe going to make the playoffs if things went well.  So Cleveland goes to New England and gets beat 45-7.  So much for OBJ being the problem in Cleveland.

Buffalo travels to the Meadowlands to take on the Jets and beat them 45-17 to continue a bad stretch for the Jets.  The highlights of the year for the Jets may be Mike White coming out of nowhere to QB the win against the Bengals a couple weeks ago, and the win over the Titans in week 4.

Tampa Bay, who many people wanted to give the Super Bowl trophy to when the season started has now lost 2 in a row to fall to 6-3 and the head coach called Tom Brady stupid.  OK, he didn't single Tommy Boy out but he did call the players stupid.

So last week Denver went to Dallas and beat the Cowboys 30-16 and the Cowboys didn't score until the 4th quarter.  This week the Eagles went to Denver and beat the Broncos 30-13.  So does this mean the Eagles will crush the Cowboys when they meet in the last week of the season?

Are they in a suite with free food & beverages?  Even that might not be a great deal depending on what you need to pay to park.

Well the Colts made it back to 500, but their remaining schedule has to be one of the toughest in the league.

At, Buffalo, Houston, Arizona, Jacksonville

Home, Tampa, New England, Las Vegas

possibility only three wins in there! Have to win all at home plus Houston and Jacksonville to have a chance at the playoff's.

Looks better than what the Steelers have left.

Here is the schedule for the Steelers.

At Chargers, Bengals, Vikings, Ravens.

Home - Ravens, Titans, Chiefs, Browns.

It's even worse than that burghfan.  The Chiefs game is on the road too.  MAYBE they can beat the Brownies, but that's about the only possible W that I see.

Now that was a big win.

Can we just say Johnathan Taylor is the baddest fucker in the league right now.

The running game is going well for the Colts because teams want to stop Wentz in the passing game and are daring the Colts to beat them with the run game.

Well if that is the case, they may want to re-look at that. Another 184 yards today. I believe  Wentz though the ball 18 time today.
