Harry Kane saves Spurs' blushes - unless there's a last-minute fightback.

Good to see the big Scottish teams winning some European games. Aberdeen a bit of an embarrassment, I expect they'll be glad that no-one really knows what the point of the third tier competition is.

Wednesday's CL games were a bit more exciting.

Apart from the fun at Liverpool and Man City, there were shaky starts from PSG and Atletico who could both only manage to draw games they should have won. I expect PSG's superstars would go into a sulk if they weren't all picked to start CL games but it didn't seem to work for them yesterday.

Good win for Real Madrid at Inter.

Ok, this doesn't belong here but didn't deserve it's own thread.

Whilst looking for some of last night's scores, I noticed that the BBC also had the results for the women's World Cup qualifiers. Note the geographical divide in whether a team includes "women" in its name or is this mischief-making by the BBC?

I only watched the second half of the PSG game and it looked like Man City were the home team but who got caught out on the counter. Lots of possession but their best hope of scoring looked to be courtesy of the PSG keeper who flapped at a few balls.

The big result of the night was Real being beaten at home by the team currently third in that powerhouse league......Moldova!

Messi scores his first goal for PSG, and a very good one too. Poch schooled Pep tonight, and not for the first time.

At least he didn't get schooled by that power Young Boys!

Didn't get to watch the match as it's on a streaming service I refuse to pay for!

Interesting results in this week's CL fixtures.

A terrible week for the Spanish "giants" - Real humiliated at home by the Moldovan team and now Barca thrashed by Benfica. They can't afford to sack their manager but has he got the brass neck to stay?

With both last year's finalists (Chelsea and Man City) also losing, is there a hint of change in the air?

If you thought Messi would have all the attention with his first goal for PSG you didn't count on Ronaldo getting the winner five minutes into Fergie time.

As soon as Messi scored last night, you just knew that the GOAT would upstage him tonight in the most dramatic fashion imaginable.

A mixed night for British teams in the Europa League: Rangers and Leicester narrowly beaten, Celtic were spanked at home but West Ham had a decent win against Rapid Vienna.

Lyon and PSV had convincing wins.

Tottenham had the biggest win of the night, 5-1, but it was in the Conference so who cares?
