VH1 STORYTELLERS SET LIST!!!!!!!

Recommended Posts

What do you guys think he will play on Storytellers? The best Storytellers i've ever seen was Tom Waits, he did about 18 songs, Dowtown Train, Ol'55, Jersey Girl, just awesome. Well, sticking with 18 or so songs and knowing that Devils & Dust will more than likely be one of them, here is what I wouldn't mind seeing. Also, don't kid yourself folks, we might get 1 maybe 2 rareities, this isn't a fantasy list for me either, just a realistic interp.

BRUCE SPRINGSTEEN VH1 Storytellers

Thunder Road
Does this bus stop at 82nd Street?
4th of July Asbury Park (Sandy)
Meeting Across the River
The Promised Land
No Surrender
For You
Darkness on the Edge of Town
Atlantic City
Backstreets
Factory
Better Days
The Rising
Growin' Up
Incident on 57th Street
Youngstown
Devils & Dust
Born to Run

I wouldn't doubt it if a good two-thirds of this material is played. Factory seems a good choice and I always remember his stories before it on the Darkness boots, Meeting would tie in the BTR anniversary aspect nicely and provide some rareity. I don't know, what do you guys think?

I would imagine 3 maybe 4 songs from the new CD.

Otherwise, I think your choices would be fine, and 25 songs would be good.....make it a 3 hour special even

I've never seen the show before. They always show complete songs, right? They ain't gonna butcher anything I hope.

I'm looking foward to this. Kind of a little preview of the acoustic portion of the tour.

Using the frame of the 18 songs listed, this is what I imagine, I think 4 new songs, I also think the recent Grammy puts Code of Silence in the spotlight. I don't see BTR being in the setlist but in the thought of the aniversery I put Thunder Road as the closer. But then agin who knows.

For You
Does this bus stop at 82nd Street?
Devils & Dust
Long Time Comming
This Hard Land
No Surrender
Further on Up the Road
Darkness on the Edge of Town
Reason to Belive
Reno
Factory
Cautious Man
Code of Silence
Growin' Up
Incident on 57th Street
Youngstown
All The Way Home
Thunder Road

Knowing Bruce, and how he likes to give the least for the most bang, in regards to TV appearances, I'm figuring that he'll talk 'til the cows come home.
If most performers play 10-12 songs, he'll play 8.
Maximum.
Of course he'll play Thunder Road, because that song has turned up on every damn thing he's ever done.

I think, there'll be some surprises - as everything Bruce do.

I also think there will be less than 10 songs. More than half will be from the new album. What are you guys thinking? Incident? Haha.

I think you'll find that the storytellers show will be shown, very soon over here in the UK, to obviously promote Bruce d+d and as usual everthing Bruce before an album release.

Well I hope so anyway.. IPB Image IPB Image IPB Image
