Worst. Songs. Ever.

Wow. I just learned something. I always thought it was "See the tree, how big it's grown/ But friend, it hasn't been too long, it was a twig."

Hard to beat the treacly factor of this one, too:

And honey, I miss you
And I'm doing good
And I'd love to be with you
If only I could.

Can I cry on your shoulder, PRR?

Hey. Just what the heck is wrong with "Brandy (You're a Fine Girl)"?

Any list of Songs That Make You Go "Eeeeyooooo" has to include "Rocky" by Austin Roberts and "I've Never Been to Me" by Charlene.

My nomination for Worst. Song. Ever.: She's Like the Wind by Patrick Swayze.

It was a hit, it infested a semi-decent soundtrack album, and it made my skin crawl.

Yet no one else thinks it's consequential enough to loathe.

I suppose I should take comfort in that.

As truly dreadful as the aforementioned songs are, my vote is still (and always will be) for Careless Whisper...which has the single worst line ever written -

Guilty feet have got no rhythm

Truly awful. mad.gif

the dolly parton version isn't bad.

Never heard it. There's no way it can be as bad as Whitney's version.

it's the original that she wrote for that guy she used to sing with. when dolly's on her singing's hard to match

If that soundtrack truly has the best song ever written and two of the worst songs ever written, then that is one heckuva powerful and schizoid soundtrack, lol.

LOL... I've never been able to make any sense out of these:

Sweet dreams are made of this
Who am I to disagree?
Travel the world and the seven seas
Everybody's looking for something

WTF?
