County Fair from 2003-09-20 Darien Lake PAC, Darien, NY.

I think I'm going to start a bootleg review series called "Why Don't You Bozos Ever Talk About This Bootleg?" focused on underrated performances. This is an AMAZING show, with a lovely once-ever performance of this beautiful song. And I've never. Heard. ANYONE. Mention it!

I know a few people that were at this show.    County Fair was a highlight for them as well...

Great song, wonder why he never had a go at this one with the E Street Band.

Because the song is about the break up of the band, firing the band.

Really? I had a look at the lyrics - it's one of those songs that I couldn't even hum, let alone know the words!

I don’t think so:

But there is also a specific meaning that applies to Springsteen in the early ’90s. As Brian Hiatt writes in his book “Bruce Springsteen: The Stories Behind the Songs,” the song is “an amusing confessional about Springsteen’s failure to leave New Jersey for the seventeen years since ‘Born to Run.’ ”

Listening to disc two of Springsteen on Broadway and it's a bit spooky him re-visting the cemetery in Freehold.

After it was mentioned in another topic:

Rosalita, the famous acoustic version from a 1974 radio broadcast.

From the vinyl bootleg 'Don't Look Back-Bruce Springsteen Collectors Items 1974-1980', which has sadly not great sound quality.

Must look if I can find my cassette tape of the complete radio broadcast.

Rosalita was better in 1974 and 1988.

Rosalita is “better” anytime I’m there to partake in the joy...

Listening to Rosie from Rochester 2016.  Was there that night... Wonderful!!  :D
