Which Bruce song are you listening to right now?

Recommended Posts

I got a CD of a 6/5/92 rehearsal concert for the Other Band Tour because it was cheap and something different, and I stumbled upon and liked its performance of.. Man's Job, I think. So right now I'm listening to bits of that. Right now it's Roll of the Dice.

Streets of Fire. Maybe the best vocals of any Bruce song. (Considering just the studio versions here.)

That and Preacher's Daughter are up there for my favourite Bruce vocals !! Darkness in general was incredible vocally though

Agreed, that entire album has some of the greatest vocals. So good that I sometimes forget how good they are on Streets of Fire. I've always thought Racing in the Street has some of the best and most crisp vocals. To me, Darkness on the Edge of Town and Backstreets probably have his strongest vocals.

My favorites are Something In The Night and then the Son You May Kiss The Bride version of Stolen Car.

These two are excellent ones, Streets of Fire and Preacher's Daughter. I recall Goin' Back being really great too vocally

Yes Something In The Night is one of my all time favourite Bruce songs. The sound of Bruce's voice is really emphasised during the solo drum part and it hits hard.

Haven't heard that in a while, gonna have a listen now!! Thanks for reminding me of it

You're welcome! The ending is my favorite Bruce vocal of all time, in the studio anyway. (it's the later part of the original Stolen Car that I love his vocals so much in it the most)

I feel like it'd be a great addition to the encores. Would hype up diehards and casuals certainly wouldn't mind because it's a huge burst of energy and over in the blink of an eye.

Yeah, 90 seconds and it'd be over . Hopefully he gives it one play.
