I always think I would like Thanksgiving best if I was American but, as I am not, I am going with Easter. It used to be Christmas, but, unless I can spend it with the kids, I really don't enjoy it any more. Easter is less pressured, plus it signals the end of winter.

What would be your perfect meal?

No house cleaners here (well apart from Mr J and me) but when we employed someone to help my mom with the cleaning she did just that - used to drive me to distraction!

Do you hang your washing outside to dry?

Yes. Twice. First time I think I had a rear light out. They asked me what was in the boot - I said 'nothing' - they opened it and found loads of aerials and equipment. My husband had put them there and not told me. Second time, I was checking on dad's house after coming back from seeing Southside (about 2 in the morning) - they wondered what I was doing 'loitering' at that hour. Sorry … Geordies tend to be on the chatty side.

Have you ever been arrested?

Yes - been buying things as I've seen them all year. Even got things I'd bought for LAST Christmas … and forgot about.

Do you enjoy walking round the shops coming up to Christmas - whether or not you buy anything?
