Uwe Schmalz wrote: It`s hard to explain everybody who didn?t make the way to the Schalke Arena in Gelsenkirchen that Bruce and the E-Street Band play on highest level ever. An unbelievable power, clear sound and pure joy mark every concert on this tour. We saw Ludwigshafen and were astonished. Now we saw Gelsenkirchen with many changes in the setlist and both shows were superb. I`m strolling to many concerts in the rock scene and saw Bruce the 14th time since 1985 at very different venues, but this tour breaks any hopes you can have. Marvelous! Energy on it`s highest level! "Jungleland" in Gelsenkirchen was like an opera in a church. Clarence blew the sax so intensive that 60.000 people stood there with big eyes, open mouthes and in absolutely silence. Unforgotten moments in my whole live with Rock`n Roll music.

Peter Aschenbrenner wrote: Just coming back from Gelsenkirchen I have to sort my impressions - was it good or was it bad. Let?s start with the good news: The audience was very good, most of them were dancing from the beginning. The show was almost sold out with about 50.000 people(some empty seats were seen). I catched the front row once again to have contact with Steve and Patti. The band seemed to have a lot of fun during the show.
Now the bad news: The setlist was only standard. No surprises, no special for the longtime fans of Germany. Bruce was also not as good as he was in Ludwigshafen or (as I heard) in Brussels. But the real bad news is that on the setlist (which we catched after the show) were these songs: Ties that bind, My love will not let you down, Roll of the dice, Human Touch and My Hometown. Can you believe it? He changed all the special ones into Bobby Jean, Thunder Road and so on. We were all a little bit angry, but ...
... we will be in Paris once again. Let?s hope for some Paris specials. See you in Paris!
