CC George wrote: Can you believe it? A FREE Springsteen concert. It was a beautiful sunny spring day in the outdoor ampitheater. Everytime the light breeze would blow, white flower petals would "snow" down on us from the trees overhead. A magical day. Bruce seemed particularly happy this day. Their performance playful and fun. Spring was definately in the air!

Wire and Wood, a local band, was the opening act.

B Hartman wrote: A cherished childhood memory. Was all of 12 at the time. My late friend T Tracy and I ventured to the Amphitheatre hearing the music and we climbed up from behind the stage and both sat on the back wall to listen and take in what was essentially our first "rock concert".

When telling friends of this story I always include "joehamer's" comments as I too remember the streaker. Sad part was he fell at the bottom of the gravel hill that ran beside the theatre...ouch!

Too cool!
