Sam wrote: I remember my first concert like it was yesterday. It was unbelievable hot., 95+ degrees and Solider Field had put a black tarp on the grass to keep the people from trampling the grass...only made the heat rise more. They were spraying people with hoses to keep everyone cool. Last concert in Chicago at Solider Field with Festival seating. My friends and I got in line at 5:30 am. to get close to stage. He came out after some murmurs in the crowd that the show was going to be cancelled because three or four kids were killed that day on the way to the show. He came out looked over the crowd drew in a huge breath, exhaled and started stamping his right foot to count off Born in The USA. One last thought...during Born to Run 70,000 + people were waving their hands in unison. Looked back to see the crowd from the front. One of the most amazing things I have ever seen. First show out of 40+ for me!
