15th track added to new album?

While the announcement of the new album is a bit longer in coming than expected, rumors now indicate that there may be a 15th song added to the lineup of songs posted elsewhere on this page. The song is allegedly called "Empty Sky". Meanwhile, the album has been played at at least one listening party for Sony executives, and reports from those who heard the album are glowing with enthusiasm. Springsteen invited to play in Asbury Park

August 16 could be another landmark day in Asbury Park music history as the "Sounds of Asbury Park" concert is shaping up. The August 16 date is still tentative, but according to one of the organizers, Stone Pony owner, Dominique Santana, both Bruce and Jon Bon Jovi have been invited to perform. Bruce spoke at Vinyard Park opening

On Saturday afternoon Bruce showed up at the opening of the new Vinyard Park in Freehold. The park is named after the manager of Bruce's first band, Tex Vinyard and his wife Marion. Five songs played for retailers

"Nothing short of amazing", was the reaction from one of the people in attendance when yesterday Bruce presented his upcoming album to selected retailers and label representatives. The five songs played at the event were called "Mary's Place", "Lonesome Day", "Into The Fire", "Nothing Man" and "The Rising". Bruce born to run for Senate in 2002?

A group of people in New Jersey have started a campaign to have Bruce run for Senate in 2002 and are currently gathering 800 signatures to have his name appear on the ballot. The reason the promoters of this project have given is that Bruce "has shown himself to be attuned to New Jersey and to the concept of public service."
