Three tour premieres in rowdy Pittsburgh show

A stunning set of nine encore songs, including two tour premieres, wrapped up last night's show in Pittsburgh. But first Bruce had introduced "Youngstown" in a new acoustic arrangement featuring Soozie Tyrell's violin. For the encores, Bruce as usual in the Steelers city dragged out his old pal Joe Grushecky on stage for. Together they did "Code of Silence" (co-written by Grushecky) and "Glory Days". "Where the Bands Are" premieres in Atlanta

Big Man on Mark Fromm album

Mark Fromm's "What Can I Give?" is a 7-song CD featuring Clarence "Big Man" Clemons on two tracks. On one of them, the single "What Can I Give for Christmas?", he plays Santa Claus a la the classic Bruce cover of "Santa Claus is Coming to Town," and blows a hot sax solo as well. As a whole, the songs are in the singer-songwriter rock genre which Bruce so epitomizes. 30% of the proceeds from "What Can I Give?" can be designated to go to the charity of the purchaser's.... Four tour premieres and three guest stars. Bruce is getting more and more unpredictable as the tour progresses. Last night in Miami, the disbelieving hardcore fans in attendance witnessed the tour premieres of "Out in the Street", "Because the Night", "So Young and in Love", and "If I Should Fall Behind". Australian shows trickling in

Dates for an upcoming Australian tour have started to float around various Australian news media and on the Internet. The Herald Sun in Melbourne says that a show at the Telstra Dome on March 20 has been confirmed by Springsteen. Also shows on the Sydney Cricket Ground on March 22 and ANZ Stadium in Brisbane on March 25 look like done deals according to the Courier Mail. Tickets for all shows will go on sale on December.... Another old war horse dug out

A few days ago it was the "Detroit Medley". Last night in Tampa, Florida, another one of those encore war horses from the days of yore was brought out for another dance: "Twist and Shout" rounded off a show that had already apparently ended with "Ramrod".
