February-March 1977

The band is called in for another short, but much-acclaimed tour, which for some of the shows sees the Miami Horns in the lineup. The tour ends with a three-night stand in Boston.

May 28 1977

Bruce and Mike Appel make an out-of-court settlement, which means that Bruce gets full control of his music.

June 1 1977

Bruce enters a studio in New York to begin the recordings of his next album, which will be known as Darkness on the Edge of Town. The sessions will continue through the rest of 1977, only interrupted by an unannounced guest appearance now and then.
