Along with the E Street Band, John Fogerty, REM and others, he performs six shows in the so-called swing states and one in New Jersey just for the heck of it.

Not satisfied with only doing the Vote For Change Tour, Bruce joins John Kerry's campaign on the road and speaks and performs acoustically at political rallies in Madison, Wisconsin, and Columbus, Ohio. Two days later he makes repeat appearances in Miami, Florida.

Bruce joins Joe Grushecky and others for Flood Aid '04 in Pittsburgh, PA. The show benefits flood victims of the September floods in Western Pennsylvania.
